Use of cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer when you browse a website. In common with many other websites, Sapira uses cookies for a variety of purposes.

We uses 'first party cookies' in a general way, to gauge use of our website and measure response to our publicity and site usage.

We may use the same cookie for more than one purpose. For example, to understand the effectiveness of a campaign a cookie may be used to measure media responsiveness and site navigation.

We will not use data from which you can be individually identified in conjunction with data that tracks general user behaviour.

Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies and if you're using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Netscape Navigator you should be able to configure your browser to restrict or block cookies, or you may wish to delete them.

Please note that should you block all cookies, you may not be able to use some of the forms on our site. If you block our tracking cookie only, your use of our site during a session should not be affected.

Security facts

Where we offer the ability to login to our site with a username and password, we use the latest secure server software that encrypts (turns into code) all information you give us before you send it to us. This means the information you send to us, using our website, stays private and secure while it is being sent. If you send us an email from your private mailbox, we cannot guarantee the security of the content until we actually receive it. For that reason, please do not send an unsecured email with confidential information such as your National Insurance or bank account numbers from outside our website. Likewise, if we send an email to your mailbox, for example to reply to an enquiry, we cannot guarantee it will stay private once the email has left us.

This means that we do not accept responsibility for the security of emails outside our systems, or accept liability if anything happens to your emails (for example, if they are intercepted) outside our systems.

If you ask us to email you information that is personal or confidential, we may need to ask you for extra information to check your identify and to give your authority to send that information to you. We have to do this under the Data Protection Act.

Revealing information to others

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to others. We may give general statistics about our customers, sales, and related site information to other companies. These statistics will not include any information that personally identifies you, unless we have said otherwise in this policy.

Your permission

When you use our website, you agree to us collecting and using information as we have described. If you have any further questions about our privacy policy please contact us using our internet support facility. If we change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this page so that you are always aware of:

  • what information we collect
  • how we use it and
  • in what circumstances we reveal it.

We updated our privacy statement on 23 March 2010 to give more detailed information to our website users about the way that we collect and process personal data.
